Spithead Studios developed a blog site to help promote the real estate sale of a local 19th Century Victorian gem, 10 Gables Niantic. There are pages devoted to the history of the house and its surrounding land, local interest information and an overall description of the unique property along with a page that describes and showcases photos of the main floor rooms.
GoldenEar Technology recently expanded their award-winning speaker lines for the recent 2012 Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) show in Indianapolis. Spithead Studios produced a free-standing banner for the show along with a digital invite highlighting the new speakers. The invite was integrated into a Constant Contact sent out by GoldenEar’s marketing department.
Meanwhile, Spithead Studios updated a full-page print ad for the flagship Triton Two towers. The full-color ad appears in current and upcoming issues of Home Theater, Sound & Vision, Stereophile and The Absolute Sound magazines.

May the luck of the Irish be with you today!
May you live as long as you want and never want as long as you live.
May your heart be light and happy,
May your smile be big and wide,
And may your pockets always have
…a coin or two inside!
Always remember to forget
The troubles that passed away.
But never forget to remember
The blessings that come each day.
GoldenEar Technology continues to gain industry acclaim, most notably with their flagship multi-award-winning Triton Two Tower loudspeakers. Recently their 2012 product introductions, the Triton Three Tower, SuperCinema 3D Array and Invisa HTR 7000 speakers, created quite a stir of their own at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. To prepare the audio world for the speaker debuts, Spithead Studios produced a free-standing banner and new printed literature highlighting the new speakers. Additionally, Spithead Studios designed several email invites to entice dealers and prospective dealers to the GoldenEar booth at CES. The invites were also integrated into a Constant Contact send-out.
In anticipation of the new speaker roll-outs this spring, Spithead Studios is currently developing new full-page print ads that will soon appear in upcoming issues of highly-regarded audiophile publications such as Home Theater and Sound & Vision magazines. Meanwhile, GoldenEar’s current products are receiving their plenty of press time. Poppa Gordon washing dishes in Whiting, NJ
(Watercolor sketch by Kelly Gordon Taylor, circa 1980s)
A hundred years ago today my paternal grandfather, Wesley Myers Gordon was born.
Wes (better known as Poppa to me) was a self-taught artist spending many of his days traveling via train in and out of the New York City where he worked a graphic designer and sign maker doing hand-lettering and illustrations. Over the years he was involved in a several art communities, where he enjoyed the fellowship of like-minded artists, furthering his passion for painting and sketching. Poppa enjoyed the simple beauty of rural landscapes, often paying particular attention to the flowing lines of trees and contrasting angles of structures of farms and back roads in Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
One of my favorite painting preparatory sketches that he had done, was one of a lone tree that bears an uncanny resemblance to the magnolia outside my office window. My connection to the that sketch, prompted me to incorporate it in the Spithead Studios logo.
Although he has passed away, Poppa’s great sense of humor, social personality and keen artistic eye are still very much alive in my father, brother and me today.
